Who We Are
Laudate Community Singers is a vibrant community choir that has been offering a choral opportunity for Calgary and area singers for over twenty-five years, first as Ambrose Community Singers and now independently. Our members sing a wide variety of music, from folk to gospel, pop to classical, and include singers at all stages and ages. Together, we work to grow musically and glorify God together.
We strive to glorify God, the Creator of music and our voices, through our music, with a community focus, believing that music making should be a shared, community experience that includes performers and audiences. The choir seeks to use the beauty of choral music for artistic expression, believing there are few things in life which are more powerful than people singing together. A diversity of ages, performance ability, and repertoire enables a wide variety of singers to participate and learn from one another as we sing a wide range of styles. We participate in a variety of performing opportunities and settings to share our music with the public. Opportunities for choral, textual, and musical training during rehearsals helps us to grow as artists and musicians. Collaborating with other musicians, both amateur and professional, strengthens us as artists as we learn from their expertise and experience. It also helps us to offer the public a unique, diverse performance.
We don't want cost to prevent singers from joining us and offer one of the lowest registration fees in the city.

Praise for Laudate
"It was an absolute pleasure to welcome the Laudate Community Singers to join us for our Sunday morning worship. Not only were their pieces well prepared and well sung, but they masterfully adapted to our liturgy and elevated the singing to a new level in worship. It would be a great pleasure to welcome them back and we would enthusiastically recommend them to other congregations."
- Rev. Alan Getty, Incumbent, Meota Parish, Anglican Church of Canada, Spring 2019
"Perfectly beautiful choral sound! Each number expressed with excellence." - concert attendee, Advent 2019
"It was a pocket of peace to just sit and hear the music. The songs were reminders to us of the bigger picture and the bigger story of Jesus, hope and how in every stage we owe him our worship. Your heart to worship our Savior in that evening was so evident." - Church concert attendee, 2024
