DirectorDon Quantz, PhD, Professor Emeritus, Ambrose University
Dr. Don Quantz has shared his love of choral music with church musicians and university students for over forty years. He served as Music Director at a number of churches before taking the position of Music Program Chair at Ambrose University, a role he held for twenty-five years. He was granted Professor Emeritus status by Ambrose upon his retirement in 2018. He holds a Bachelor of Music, Master of Education, and a PhD in Music Education. In his time at Ambrose, Dr. Quantz served as founding director of the Ambrose Chamber Singers and the Ambrose Chamber Orchestra. Dr. Quantz’s choirs have toured England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Austria, and Costa Rica, as well as Canada, performed everything from large choral and orchestral works to intimate chamber music. He also started Laudate Community Singers (formerly Ambrose University Singers) in 1996. His leadership reflects his desire to present repertoire of all styles, to teach and mentor in his rehearsals, to foster each individual's gifts, to encourage the development of a welcoming community of musicians, and to sing to the glory of God.
